چکیده

In this manuscript, we show that the metric mean dimension of a semigroup action satisfies three variational principles: (a) in our first result, consider local entropy function for free and principle terms such function; (b) second one is about definition Katok’s introduced Carvalho et al. (Ergod, 42, 65–85, 2022); (c) third based on Shapira’s entropy, Shapira (Israel J Math, 158, 225–247, 2007) single dynamic, extend action. We also obtain formula which relates induced skew product; (d) fourth involving action; (e) last two theorems, topological when have finitely generated inspired Ghys (Acta 160, 105–142, 1988). context, partial dimension. Our results are ones obtained by (Lindenstrauss 2019) Velozo (2017) Gutman Sṕiewak (Stud 261, 345–360, 2021) Shi (IEEE Trans Inf Theory, 68, 4282–4288, 2022).

From rate distortion theory to metric mean dimension: variational principle

The purpose of this paper is to point out a new connection between information theory and dynamical systems. In the information theory side, we consider rate distortion theory, which studies lossy data compression of stochastic processes under distortion constraints. In the dynamical systems side, we consider mean dimension theory, which studies how many parameters per second we need to describ...

A metric for dynamic routing based on variational principles

In this paper the variation principles from theoretical physics is considered that would describe the process of routing in computer networks. The total traffic which is currently served on all hops of the route has been chosen as the quantity to minimize. Universal metric function has been found for dynamic routing taking into account the packet loss effect. An attempt to derive the metric of ...

Variational Principles for Some Nonlinear Wave Equations

Generally speaking, there exist two basic ways to describe a physical problem [1]: (1) by differential equations (DE) with boundary or initial conditions; (2) by variational principles (VP). The VP model has many advantages over its DE partner: simple and compact in form while comprehensive in content, encompassing implicitly almost all information characterizing the problem under consideration...

The metric dimension and girth of graphs

A set $Wsubseteq V(G)$ is called a resolving set for $G$, if for each two distinct vertices $u,vin V(G)$ there exists $win W$ such that $d(u,w)neq d(v,w)$, where $d(x,y)$ is the distance between the vertices $x$ and $y$. The minimum cardinality of a resolving set for $G$ is called the metric dimension of $G$, and denoted by $dim(G)$. In this paper, it is proved that in a connected graph $...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
